Dove Season and Our 5 Year Anniversary!

Monday, August 31st, 2009

We’re excited about opening dove season tomorrow and expect to have some great hunting!   We have several dove fields full of sunflowers… It’s also our 5 year anniversary of starting the ranch so thanks to everyone who has hunted with us…look forward to seeing you again!  God has certainly blessed the ranch and we have made many, many good friends along the way.  We look forward to many more years of providing hunting opportunities to the average working man!   God bless and see you in the fields!!

One of the Dos Plumas Gang Graduates Army Basic Training!

Thursday, August 6th, 2009

Well, I just have to brag!  Josh, my son~some of you will recognize him as the “kid who did the skinning and whatever else Allen told him to do (lol)” graduated Army basic training on August 6, 2009 in Fort Benning, Georgia.  I couldn’t be more proud of my son!  It’s amazing the transformation he has made…what happened to my dark curly hair little boy who loved his Power Rangers??!!  The one who sat in front of the TV laughing at Sesame Street’s Bert and Ernie??!!   What happened to my little boy who cried in his bed until I held him??!!   He’s now a man…a soldier!  Wow, I couldn’t be more proud of the man he has become.

Please take the time to thank a soldier.  Also, please take the time to say a quick prayer of safety for those who are protecting our freedom.  God Bless.

Mike and His Hawg!

Sunday, August 2nd, 2009

Mike’s trying for the biggest hog harvested with a bow at the Dos!  His hog was every bit of 280 pounds but…well, just a few more pounds to go!  LOL!  Mike, this is a nice, nice hawg!!  Worth the belly crawl and locking eyes with the beast!
